WHY AN ANTI-BULLYING MOVEMENT?
Two members of The Royal Mix have overcome being bullied and as a result the entire group is very passionate about helping their peers overcome the negative effects of being bullied. The lyrics from the song “Royal Geek,” that this movement revolves around, was a way the girls were able to empower themselves and conquer being bullied. It allowed them to embrace who they truly are and learn to love themselves first. The Royal Geek Anti-Bullying video clearly shows how infectious bullying can be, how a person should not judge a book by it’s cover and most importantly concludes with unity in the end. The Royal Mix’s mission is to prevent bullying by providing children with adequate resources and supports to increase self-esteem, self-confidence and self-awareness.
In schools, bullying has become an epidemic that needs to be addressed.
Did you know?
- According to stopbullying.gov between 1 in 4 & 1 in 3 US students say they have been bullied at school & most bullying happens in middle school.
- According to teachantibullying.org 13 million kids per year are absent from school due to bullying.
- According to teachantibullying.org since 1996 there have been 198 bullying related school shootings

We cannot stop children from teasing or poking fun at each other but when it comes at the expense of someone getting hurt and/or wanting to hurt themselves, that is where changes must be made. We will offer information and outlets that are available to the bullied so they know they’re not alone. Bullying has always existed, but it has become so widespread and detrimental that The Royal Mix feels it’s imperative for us to come together as a community and do something about it.
The Royal Mix are anti-bullying advocates and will use their platform and music to empower students who have been bullied. They will Invite students, teachers, parents, politicians, etc. in communities to participate and join in events and tours, and ask them to take the “KINDNESS UP bullying down” pledge.
The Royal Mix’s vision is to armor the bullied individuals, who have a defeated attitude which can lead to suicide, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, depression and being anti-social, with confidence, support in speaking to someone they trust, utilize the hotlines, positive thoughts and affirmations and most importantly encourage self love.
